Dan Whittaker Fevvers

New Brain. No Fluff.

Fevvers has appointed polymer chemist Dr Dan J. Whitaker as its first Adviser, supporting material science and technical development as the company moves from early proof toward wider production.

We’re very pleased to announce Dr Dan J. Whitaker as Fevvers’ first official Adviser, supporting our work across material science and technical development.

Dan is a polymer chemist and materials consultant specialising in plastic-free, plant-based biomaterials. The work spans patents, formulation and scale-up – precisely the territory where emerging materials either prove themselves or quietly fall apart.

The role with Fevvers is to advise as the material moves from early proof toward wider production, helping sharpen decisions where craft, chemistry and ethics collide.

Fevvers began as a craft-led exploration of structure, movement and material behaviour. That instinctive way of working remains central. What this advisory role adds is scientific rigour – not to smooth the edges, but to test, challenge and strengthen what already exists.

This isn’t a handover. It’s a meeting of minds.

Working alongside us, Dan will help interrogate material choices, support the evolution of our approach, and ensure what we’re building remains coherent, protectable and ready to be produced without compromise.

Alongside Fevvers, Dan also works with the brilliant Arda Biomaterials, bringing a wider view of how entirely new material categories are developed and scaled with integrity.

Welcome aboard, Dan.
